Designed as a direct-fit replacement for the factory plastic airbox, it delivers a dramatic improvement in intake sound — measured at +12 dB over the OEM unit — while saving approximately 8 lbs compared to the original plastic assembly.

Unlike the factory CSL airbox, which requires additional hardware, wiring, and software calibration, the Karbonius OEM Style airbox retains the standard intake elbow and MAF sensor, making it a straightforward, no-remap upgrade. Karbonius documented a +4 HP result in recent dyno testing versus the OEM plastic airbox; however, given the 2% margin of error inherent in dynamometer testing, Karbonius makes no significant power claim — simply no power loss, and a substantially improved intake experience.

Each airbox is manufactured from 100% prepreg carbon fiber and autoclave-cured in Spain under ISO 9001 quality management standards. The high-gloss UV-protective varnish finish accentuates the carbon weave while providing long-term durability. Every piece is individually numbered to guarantee authenticity and origin.
