Karbonius E46 M3 Carbon Vented Hood

The Karbonius E46 M3 Carbon Vented Hood is a purpose-designed upgrade for the E46 M3, combining functional aerodynamic venting with motorsport-grade prepreg carbon fiber construction. The strategically placed hood vents evacuate hot air from the engine bay, improving cooling efficiency — while the redesigned interior structure adapts the nerves and support geometry to complement the new exterior profile.

Weighing just 4.9 kg — a 4.3 kg reduction compared to the OEM hood — this piece is manufactured in two parts (exterior and interior shell) that are bonded on a precision assembly bench using structural adhesive, with nutserts fixed to the laminate for long-term durability. The hood retains full compatibility with the original locks, kidneys, and grilles.

Available in two constructions — standard 70% GFRP / 30% CFRP prepreg, or premium 100% CFRP prepreg — both manufactured and autoclave-cured at Karbonius' facility in Spain by qualified personnel, the premium version is finished in multi-layer UV-protective polyurethane varnish for a durable, non-yellowing gloss that holds up under extended exterior use. Standard construction is straight from mold without varnish; primed exterior and matte carbon interior are available by request.
