Karbonius E30 3-Series S54 CSL Carbon Airbox

The Karbonius E30 3-Series S54 CSL Carbon Airbox brings the legendary induction experience of the E46 M3 CSL to the E30 chassis running an S54 engine swap. The E46 M3 CSL airbox is widely regarded as one of the finest — and most sonically rewarding — intake systems ever fitted to a road car, and this Karbonius adaptation makes that same experience accessible to the growing community of E30 S54 builders.

Because the standard E46 S54 CSL airbox does not fit directly in the E30 chassis, Karbonius has developed a modified version optimized for E30 fitment. The airbox comes without the forward inner air canalization/duct found on the E46 M3 CSL due to chassis constraints. Even with the customized fitment, Karbonius recommends installing a smaller-diameter brake booster to prevent contact — for example, an E21 320i or E30 iX brake booster.

Manufactured from 100% prepreg carbon fiber and autoclave-cured in Spain under ISO 9001 Management Quality System standards, the airbox delivers an appreciable gain in power alongside the unmistakable CSL induction sound. CNC-machined aluminum components and stainless-steel hardware complete the kit.
