The JQ Werks Madtrace® Generation 1 Magnetic Paddle Shifter System for BMW E-Chassis models transforms the factory shifting experience with a motorsport-inspired mechanical feel, precision engagement, and premium construction. Developed specifically for the E9X M steering wheel and compatible E-Chassis applications, this Clubsport system delivers fast, positive gear changes at any steering angle while maintaining true plug-and-play installation.

At the core of the Madtrace® system is a CNC-machined 6061-T billet aluminum magnetic mechanism paired with powerful neodymium magnets. This design produces a sharp, tactile shift with an immediate snap-back into position and a distinct mechanical “click” that enhances driver feedback. The result is a more connected, aggressive, and confidence-inspiring shifting experience for street, track, or performance driving.

Each unit is engineered for rigidity and long-term durability, utilizing hard-anodized aluminum construction and 4mm thick carbon fiber paddle plates where applicable. The adjustable paddle positioning allows drivers to fine-tune reach and ergonomics, making it easier to maintain control during high-performance driving and aggressive cornering inputs.

Designed for seamless integration with the factory wheel, the system installs using new included hardware with no wiring modifications required. Whether you choose billet aluminum paddles or carbon fiber paddle options in both Formula-style and GT-style profiles, the Madtrace® system delivers a substantial upgrade in both performance and interior driver interface.
