Description
The Eventuri Toyota GR86 Black Carbon Intake System was developed through extensive dyno testing to optimize airflow and intake air temperature control for the FA24 2.4L naturally aspirated boxer engine. Testing shows performance gains of approximately 10–14 horsepower and 10–11 ft-lb of torque, with the strongest improvements occurring toward the upper end of the rev range while maintaining factory drivability. During development, Eventuri tested multiple intake configurations. Including variations in intake length, ducting, and internal baffle design. On the stock ECU, dyno data reveals a characteristic resonance-related dip around the 5700–6300 RPM range. The final intake configuration was selected to minimize this effect while still delivering measurable gains toward redline. On tuned vehicles, additional mid-range improvements are achievable and the resonance dip can be further reduced. The intake system utilizes Eventuri’s patented carbon fiber Venturi housing to maintain laminar airflow and reduce turbulence as air is directed toward the intake tract. Unlike conventional open-filter designs, the fully sealed carbon construction helps limit heat soak and maintain consistent intake air temperatures during repeated pulls.
