Eventuri BMW G20 M340i B58 Black Carbon Intake System - PRE November 2018

The Eventuri Carbon Intake System for the BMW G20 3 Series B58 3.0T has been developed to provide a less restrictive airflow path to the turbocharger while maintaining low intake air temperatures. The factory BMW airbox is designed primarily for packaging and sound suppression, which creates airflow limitations under higher load conditions. The Eventuri system replaces this restrictive OE airbox with a fully sealed carbon fiber intake assembly engineered for performance.

The system features Eventuri’s patented Venturi housing concept. Unlike conventional open cone or heat shield designs, the Eventuri housing creates a controlled and smooth airflow path from the filter to the turbo inlet, helping to maintain laminar flow and reduce turbulence. The result is improved turbo efficiency, enhanced throttle response, and consistent performance gains.

During development, heat management and internal air volume were key priorities. The intake location on the G20 platform exposes it to significant engine bay heat. Eventuri addressed this by designing a sealed housing that isolates the filter from hot air while maximizing internal volume to reduce pressure drop and heat soak.

The system also incorporates additional cold air feed paths, utilizing the factory ducting and supplementary openings to ensure a consistent supply of ambient air. The intake tube replaces the restrictive OE plastic tube with a smooth, larger diameter carbon fiber tube to further optimize airflow characteristics.

Constructed from prepreg carbon fiber and precision-engineered components, the Eventuri intake provides OEM-level fitment, premium aesthetics, and measurable performance improvements while retaining daily drivability.
