The Eventuri BMW E39 M5 Carbon Intake System was engineered to improve airflow efficiency and intake air temperature control for the naturally aspirated S62 V8 engine. The factory intake design relies on panel filters and internal airflow paths that introduce restriction and turbulence at higher engine speeds. Eventuri’s system replaces the OEM airboxes with sealed carbon fiber housings designed to deliver smoother, more direct airflow to the throttle bodies.

Extensive development focused on optimizing internal airbox volume, inlet geometry, and filter positioning to maintain consistent intake air temperatures while reducing restriction. By using sealed carbon fiber housings rather than exposed filters, the system helps limit heat soak and preserve air density during repeated pulls and spirited driving.

The intake utilizes Eventuri’s patented Venturi-style filter housing to promote laminar airflow and reduce turbulence as air transitions into the intake tract. Constructed from 100% prepreg carbon fiber, the housings provide both airflow and thermal advantages over the factory plastic airboxes while maintaining OEM drivability and reliability.
