CAE Ultra Shifter VW Golf 3 / 02A HD Kit

CAE Ultra Shifter for vehicles with VW 02A or 02J cable-operated transmissions.  
02J TRANSMISSIONS ONLY OLD VERSION WITH EQUAL LENGTH SHIFT CABLES.
For cables with different lengths, select version 02M.

• Short and super-precise shift travel, H-shifted and suitable for 5- and 6-speed transmissions.

• The clutch system remains original

• Optimal ergonomics with the Focus Motorsport: The gearshift lever is perfectly positioned close to the steering wheel. The H-shaped shift pattern fits within approximately 65 x 65 mm.

• Reverse gear is unlocked via a cable pull from the shift lever. Accidental engagement of reverse gear is impossible. Reverse gear is unlocked by pulling up the sliding sleeve on the shift lever.

• Low weight and high stability: The milled and turned parts are made of 7075 aluminum, and the substructures are made of laser-cut, 3 mm thick AlMg3 aluminum sheet. The parts are joined using TIG welding and brushed to a bright finish.

• Smooth gear changes under load or when cornering.

• Integrated center position spring, thus perfect feedback when changing gears during upshifts and downshifts.
• Right/left stops and reverse stop can be adjusted separately.
• Easy installation with complete conversion kit, supplied with all small parts and mounting material
• Shifter is intended for vehicles without interior fittings or without center console.
• Surface of the shifter and gear knob available in various designs; and as an accessory covered with grey Alcantara with colored X-seam

  After the conversion, the shift cables run above the tunnel. Drilling holes in the tunnel is required for this. The shifter is supplied as a complete kit, including CAE HD shift cables. It is optimally adapted for 02A transmissions where the shift cables arrive side by side at the transmission. 02A transmissions where the cables are stacked must be converted to the other version!
